Fun to knit and fun to wear, this two colour stripe poncho has a cosy hood for chilly days and is the perfect design for babies and young children, as it can easily be popped on or off easily when baby is fast asleep in the stroller or car seat. The Baby poncho is knitted flat using a pair of long (40cm) single pointed needles and aran (US worsted) yarn. Worked in one piece with a seam at the centre front and another across the top of the hood. Instructions are for 0-6months, 6-12 months, and 1-2 years. Each size has separate detailed instructions, and if you prefer a longer poncho, you can simply knit the next size up. To complete your Baby poncho you will need 5.0mm (US 8) knitting needles 40cm (16”) long.
